A stroll
through downtown Somerville reveals much about the history of
the borough and its residents.
Serving as the county seat for Somerset County for over two
hundred years, the courthouse, with its classic architectural
style and dignified white marble composition, is located at
the center of town.

Along with the courthouse, downtown includes a library, lively
shopping district, complete with eateries, bookstores, coffee
shops and antique shops.
Each Memorial Day, Somerville is a host to the Kugler Anderson
Tour, a bicycle race that attracts 40,000 spectators. Every
friday night, Main Street is the place where car collectors
and enthusiasts show off their classic cars and custom motorcycles. |
